A Bosnian man living in Waterloo, Iowa, has been sentenced to 10 years in federal prison for receiving child pornography. Hazim Kapic, 61, pleaded guilty on September 17, 2025, to one count of receipt of child pornography.

According to a plea agreement, Kapic admitted to downloading child pornography between February 2020 and August 2024. In August 2024, law enforcement officers searched his residence in Waterloo and seized a hard drive containing thousands of images and videos depicting child pornography. The material included depictions involving prepubescent minors, infants or toddlers, as well as content showing sadistic and masochistic conduct.
