A Cedar Rapids resident has been sentenced to over six years in federal prison for distributing fentanyl. Artadius Damon Robinson, 24, pleaded guilty on December 31, 2024, to one count of distribution of a controlled substance.

During the sentencing hearing, it was revealed that Robinson distributed thousands of fentanyl pills in the Cedar Rapids area between April 2022 and August 2023. He reportedly claimed to have earned $1,000 daily from selling fentanyl. At the time of his activities, Robinson was found in possession of a firearm with an extended drum magazine attached. He had been prohibited from possessing firearms since 2020 due to two prior firearm-related felony convictions.
