A Des Moines man has been sentenced to 21 and a half years in federal prison for multiple robbery and firearms offenses. Jeremiah Kenneth McGregor, 23, was convicted of conspiracy to interfere with commerce by robbery, interference with commerce by robbery, brandishing a firearm during and in relation to a crime of violence, and being a felon in possession of a firearm.

Court documents show that McGregor robbed four Git-N-Go convenience stores in the Des Moines area while armed with a gun on October 5, 7, 10, and 12 of 2024. He also attempted to rob another Git-N-Go location on October 6. In each incident, McGregor entered the store, threatened an employee with a firearm, and demanded money. On October 13, he fled from police during a traffic stop while carrying a loaded firearm but was arrested shortly after.

Following his prison term, McGregor will serve five years of supervised release. Federal law does not allow parole. He must also pay $1,346 in restitution. The court ordered that this federal sentence be served consecutively to a state sentence imposed after his parole was revoked in December 2024.

McGregor’s co-defendant, Donault Seandrea Logan, also from Des Moines and aged 23, is scheduled for sentencing on January 6, 2026.

United States Attorney David C. Waterman for the Southern District of Iowa announced the sentence. The case was investigated by the Des Moines Police Department and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
