Fort Dodge man pleads guilty to meth distribution conspiracy

Aaron StandsAndLooksBack, also known as Aaron Woodman, a 42-year-old resident of Fort Dodge, Iowa, has entered a guilty plea in federal court in Sioux City. On June 4, 2025, he admitted to his involvement in a conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine.

During the plea hearing, StandsAndLooksBack acknowledged that from December 2020 to December 2023, he conspired with others to distribute no less than 1.5 kilograms of methamphetamine. Evidence presented revealed that he acquired methamphetamine through purchase or theft for distribution purposes. He also confessed to stealing significant quantities of methamphetamine from his mother and selling it in the Fort Dodge area.

Sentencing will be determined by United States District Court Judge Leonard T. Strand following the preparation of a presentence report. StandsAndLooksBack is currently held by the United States Marshal awaiting sentencing. He faces a mandatory minimum sentence of ten years imprisonment and could receive up to life imprisonment, along with a $10 million fine and at least five years of supervised release after serving any prison term.
