Christopher Lee Caquelin, 41, of Fort Dodge, Iowa, has been sentenced to ten years in federal prison after pleading guilty to charges related to methamphetamine distribution. Caquelin entered his guilty plea on March 26, 2025, admitting to one count of conspiracy to distribute a controlled substance and one count of distribution of a controlled substance.
According to court documents, between January 1, 2023, and October 31, 2024, Caquelin participated in a drug conspiracy centered in Fort Dodge that involved distributing at least 50 grams of pure methamphetamine. He and others sold the drug within the local area.
United States District Court Judge Leonard T. Strand handed down the sentence in Sioux City. In addition to the 120-month prison term, Caquelin will serve five years of supervised release following his incarceration. Federal law does not allow parole.
